More recently he worked on the establishment of a silicon–photovoltaics research lab for Qatar Foundation and is an active University lecturer at Paris-Sorbonne University, Abu Dhabi and the American University of Beirut in Solar Energy and Physics. Since 2015, he is the CEO of Eedama as well as the co-founder of a Lebanese not-for-profit working on environmental justice: Jibal NGO. He spends most of his time training, coaching and mentoring innovators and entrepreneurs who want to work on green projects, from nanotechnological innovation to farm-schools.
He cofounded Whitelogs, and mushroom green business, and Alternative Tour Beirut, an alternative tourism company, in Lebanon. He is the president of the Board of the Center for Social Research and Action (Lebanon, Cyprus) and has been a member of the Global Advisory Panel of the Science and Innovation Park of the UAE University.

Her expertise lies in social sustainability, place-making strategies, and urban conservation; subjects she has explored through academic research and international conference presentations. At Eedama, Huda oversees daily operations and leads collaborations with key partners across the UAE, including Al Ghurair Foundation, ALDAR, Masdar City, ADNOC and the Abu Dhabi Environmental Agency. With a strong focus on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), she designs and delivers impactful sustainability learning programs tailored to corporations, universities, and schools. Over the past eight years, she has created and delivered impactful learning experiences that have reached more than 20,000 students across the UAE. Her work extends beyond local impact, as she regularly contributes to global platforms such as WFES and WEEC, reinforcing her role as a leader in education for sustainable development and community engagement.

Nour’s experience includes contributing to research on the historic center of Cairo with an international cultural organization and participating in seminars on innovative energy solutions. She has passion for teaching and previously worked as a tutor, an experience that she values as it allowed her to share knowledge about sustainable urban cities and why they are essential in today’s world.

A member of Eedama since October 2024, I believe in the importance of spreading the message of sustainable living to people of all ages and backgrounds. This involvement has deepened my commitment to environmental education and community engagement. As I near the end of my internship at ADNOC Onshore in the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) department, I have developed valuable skills in risk assessment, biodiversity conservation, waste management, and sustainability reporting. I see myself as a thoughtful leader who values collaboration, listens actively, and encourages diverse perspectives within a team. I see challenges not as obstacles but as opportunities to showcase the knowledge and experience I have gained—not only through academic studies but also through personal research, volunteering, and a strong dedication to learning beyond the classroom.
